For over 3 years, Omni Advertising worked with the Hall Automotive Group in Hampton Roads, VA. Hall hired Omni not only as their advertising partner to service all 21 dealerships, but specifically for our expertise in used vehicles and service centers. Hall was rapidly losing market share in both used cars and service and needed to turn it around quickly. Omni immediately developed used car campaigns for Hall focusing on their volume size and on the savings obtained from buying at Hall. We compared the savings at Hall to the savings you receive at price clubs such as Sam’s Club or Costco. This made an immediate impact in their used car sales. For their service advertising we created a straightforward message using a spokesperson who represented a typical service manager. We showcased great deals on services that are completed quickly.
Hall concentrated on a multimedia strategy, with network TV and cable proving most advantageous. Radio and newspaper were used secondarily, while internet and direct mail were tertiary at 20%. The remaining monies we utilized in offsite events, promotions and select service and parts advertising efforts. Hall Automotive was recently purchased by another company that has their own in-house advertising agency.
